Covenant Congregation of Presby Church dedicates new building

A new church building for the Covenant Congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana at La-Nkwantanang in Ga Presbytery in Accra has been dedicated to the glory of God at the cost of about 3 million Ghana cedis.

The building was funded with contributions from members of the church, through fund raising and contributions from individuals and groups.

Inaugurating the building at a ceremony which was attended by a number of personalities, ministers of the Gospel and worshippers from the Adentan District of the Church, the Acting Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana and Presbytery Chairperson for Ga, Rev Dr Victor Okoe Abbey stressed the need for church members to be properly accommodated in a serene atmosphere.

He said the Presbytery would continue to encourage the local congregations to put up similar structures to enable church members to have concentrated minds to serve God well.

What is Lorem Ipsum?

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Presbyterian Church praises government for Free Senior High School and double track system

The Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) has commended President Akuffo Addo and his government for the implementation and introduction of the Free Senior High School policy and the double track system.
According to the Church the Free SHS would bring relief to many families and ensure equity in access to secondary education in the country whiles the double track system would also increase enrolment.
“We know what the free education in the northern part of the country has done to national development. Naturally if it is done on a nation-wide basis, it is the whole country which stands to benefit”.
The Acting Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana Rev Dr. Victor Okoe Abbey made the commendation at the opening of the 18th General Assembly of the Church at Akropong Akuapem in the Eastern Region on Saturday.
